Breakfast ....

Do you like to eat breakfast? A lot of my friends told me that they are not eating breakfast. Is it right? I read a health tip from Sue Rad and this is about eating breakfast. A lot of people doesn't eat their breakfast. According to her that there 3 reasons you should eat breakfast...

1. It kick-starts your metabolism and burns energy more efficiently for the rest of the day. Research shows that breakfast eaters have a lower body mass index (BMI)--a technical way of checking whether your weight is appropriate for your height.

2. To help keep your cholesterol down. People who eat breakfast have a lower blood cholesterol level than breakfast skippers. Enjoying a healthy breakfast is one of the easiest ways to keep your heart disease risk lower.

3. It gets your bowels working properly. A good breakfast can supply a third or more of your daily dietary fiber needs. Fiber provides the bulk to help push food contents more quickly through the eight or so meters of digestive tract they need to travel. Constipation is common in Western countries but should be guarded against as it is linked with bowel cancer and other bowel disorders such as hemorrhoids and diverticular disease.

Hints for a low-sodium diet

Just sharing this one for you.

Hints For a Low-sodium Diet

1. Eat mostly fresh foods, and eat them without any added salt.

2. Buy only those processed foods that contain less than 120 mg sodium per 100 g of product. Check food labels.

3. Look for "low sodium," "low salt," or "No added salt." Reduced salt products are required to contain only 25 percent less sodium, so the final level may still be very high.

Blueberry Facts

I just really want to share about blueberries and its health benefits.

According to research currently underway at the USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, blueberries top the list of some 40 fruits, juices, and vegetable in their antioxidant activity. Concord grape juice is next on the list with about two thirds of the antioxidant activity of blueberries followed by strawberries, kale, and spinach.

Inspirational Words

"Be of good courage, An He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD". ~ Psalms 31:24 NKJV

Being a godly man in this difficult world is not an easy task. Ours is a time of uncertainty and danger, a time when even the most courageous have legitimate cause for concern. But as believers we can live courageously, knowing that we have been saved by a loving Father and His only Begotten Son.

Take those anxieties and troubles to God. Seek protection from the One who cannot be moved. And then live courageously, knowing that even in these troubled times, GOD is always as near as your next breath-and you are always protected.

The House Test

What the House Test Says About You
You have a high opinion of yourself. You think that you are quite important in the scheme of things... definitely more important than most people.

You are a fairly community oriented person. You like to get to know your neighbors, but you also like your privacy. You get attached to neighborhoods and cities.

You are creative, expressive, and bright. You are always in the middle of some amazing project.

You take good care of your physical appearance. You dress well, stay in shape, and do your best to look great.

You are moved by romance and love. You are optimistic about people, and you love hearing about happy endings.

The Simple Life

“Whoever becomes simple and elemental again, like this child, will rank high in God’s Kingdom.” ~ Mathew 18:4 MSG

You live in a world where simplicity is in short supply. Think for a moment about the complexity of your every-day life and compare it to the lives of your ancestors. Certainly, you are the beneficiary of many technological innovations, but those innovations have a price: in all likelihood, your world is highly complex.

Unless you take firm control of your time and your life, you may be overwhelmed by an ever increasing tidal wave of complexity that threatens your happiness. But your Heavenly father understands the joy of living simply, and so should you. So do yourself a favor: Keep your life as simple as possible. Simplicity is, indeed, genius. By simplifying your life, you are destined to improve it.

Beach Test

What the Beach Test Says About You
You are a people person. You don't need a lot of privacy or space in your life. It's likely that you grew up in a loud, big family.

You fall in love with ease and confidence. Even if you've had bad experiences in the past, each new love is a reason to start completely over.

You are a deep and contemplative person. You are as passionate as everyone else, but your passion is not always apparent.

Your sense of humor is goofy and silly. You are good at making almost anyone laugh.

Words for the day

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” ~ Mathew 4:4 NKJV

“If a man’s Bible is coming apart, it is and indication that he himself is fairly well put together.” ~ James Jennings

God’s Holy Word is, indeed, a priceless, one of a kind treasure. Handle it with care, but more importantly, handle it every day starting today!

Words for you

Count it all joy, my brethren, when you meet various trials, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all men generously and without reproaching, and it will be given him.

But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways, will receive anything from the Lord. Let the lowly brother boast in his exaltation, and the rich in his humiliation, because like the flower of the grass he will pass away.

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. So will the rich man fade away in the midst of his pursuits.
